State of the Union: what can Obama do college tuition?

President Obama hit hard at the cost of college education in a speech, calling for the Congress of the Union to extend the tax credit for College and student loan interest discontinuing of doubled in July.

State of the Union address Tuesday night, and continue to stress the importance of excellent teaching in K-12 education.

He called on States to raise compulsory education to age 18; calling on Congress to extend tax credits for College, to stop the interest rates on student loans than double in July, and to pass the dream Act; and issuing a threat to the institutions of higher education that fails to keep costs in check and maintaining costs.

“Let me put the colleges and universities on notice: If You can’t stop riding, dana College from which You got from the taxpayers will come down,” said Obama. “Higher education cannot be a glamour-is an economic necessity every family in America should be able to. “

It is not clear, however, from the Obama speech-and the blueprint the Government send out later-exactly how he plans to carry out this threat.

By Michele Bachmann came out of the race for the Republican Presidential nomination, we are faced with an array of suspects in American politics-that is, a group of people who seem to spend most of their lives are bragging about how difficult they are.

Until Thursday, we have Rick Perry waxing macho about the number of executions he has overseen in Texas. We have Rick Santorum threatens to bomb Iran. There is a Newt Gingrich stated that people would boil down to be between “Newt and not Newt.” Even years Ron Paul started a campaign appearance with Darth Vader’s theme music, which he uses to emphasize how dangerous it would be Mitt Romney.

Like any zoology will instantly recognize, what we have here is a group of male primates who are vying for dominance.

If the attribute is a male Primate social dominant? Scientists who study animal behavior has been seen that question for a long time, producing some of the answers are complicated. But there are some very interesting insight in the recent papers that look at the dominant social Primate brains. Paper, by Jerome Sallet and colleagues at the University of Oxford, was published in the journal Science, and part of their research are most relevant for us troops in the Republic concern the rhesus macaque male.

First you must understand that the male rhesus macaque among most Dalai Lama-esque primates. They form a strict dominance hierarchy, linear, and the person who holds the highest position through aggression and intimidation-something primatologists calls domination system “despotic”. Male monkeys often witless and aggressive. (Not all primates is like this: there are other primate species where the male to female dominance thanks to the support of other collective, where it was the dominant female, and others where domination and hierarchy are concepts that are not relevant.)

Some cooperative city became more accepting of dogs

The dog is a member of the family for some and unwanted neighbors to others, so some of the buildings have a ban on four-legged pets. But today, there are so many loopholes the law about no-dog police force that many cooperative eliminate them.

Roberts, who works with the building to cope with the dilemma of doggie, said changes to the laws of the federal and local has left loopholes which make enforcing a policy of not-dogs too hard.

If the owner does not initiate action within 90 days, he waives the right to initiate action, “said Roberts. “Another Gap is the Americans with Disabilities Act, which provides the owner must provide the accommodation which the dog is often thought.”

That means if someone gets a note from a doctor that they need for emotional support dogs, no matter the conditions, the dog should be allowed.

Somali refugees return home to rebuild the country’s education system

SOMALILAND, Somalia, January 10, 2012 – Ali Abdullah stood in front of the class asked the students their age, how long they take to walk to school, if they are orphans, and whether any have learning or development needs.

Mr. Abdullah, head of the school at Koossar primary school, is one of the thousands of elementary school teachers did the Census as never before, helping to produce a comprehensive survey, the first Government led by a State of Somalia North of the school.

Years of civil war has left the Government with several administrators who are well trained. For the Ministry of education in the spring of Somaliland and Puntland, this means a system therefrom, and the school has had emergency repairs.

Fairway markets fund

Fundraisers supermarket rake in thousands of dollars in donations Thursday Peter Figoski Scholarship Fund, the benefits of the four daughters slain Hero police.

Fairway markets donates 10% of the proceeds of all created between 3 p.m. and 10 p.m. at three locations-in Red Hook, Brooklyn; Douglaston, Queens; and Plainview, Long Island.

“We see that this happens in one of the community that surrounds our shop and we’d like to jump in and help,” said executive vice president, market And Glickberg.

Detective Figoski was killed during a botched Home Invasion robbery in Brooklyn on December 12. Lamont Pride, 27, allegedly shot Figoski in the face after 22-year NYPD veteran and his partner responded to the apartment East New York.

Pride, a career criminal, and four others have since worn in Figoski’s murder.
